The Remembering Practise
Hello and welcome to The Remembering Practise.
Before we journey on again, these 2 sessions are an opportunity to meet and sit together, to explore mindfulness teachings, practices, breathing exercises and mind/heart spaces.
These sessions are a remembering practice because they connect us to us; to our home, our centre, our breath, our Life.
Together we sit in our wholeness, in the fullness of our human experience. We remember, reconnect and reclaim for the weekend ahead.
These sessions are an opportunity to nurture our nervous systems. To give ourselves space to sit in our presence and practice ways we can create more inner peace and stillness (on and off the cushion). They are warm, welcoming, resourceful and completely guided.
Each session of the 2 sessions will hold different themes in the presence of the moment together and woven with the current intentions and purpose of this created practise, surrounding: connecting more deeply with who we truly are, our spirit. Connecting with God or whomever else we pray and commune with in a real and meaningful way. Radical responsibility and reality co-creation. These being the current intentions that are alive within me in the creation and purpose of this offering.
The session on February 28th falls on a new moon. Both meditation dates in February align with the energy of the new year and the Aquarian Age New Earth.
Each of the 2 sessions will also include different combinations of; silence, prayer, song/mantra and spiritual teachings (whether it be a piece of scripture or another book/text) inviting self-inquiry and self-healing.
These sessions are suitable for every adult body; beginner to advanced, all who resonate with this practice (mindfulness meditation) are welcome.
They are pregnancy friendly too. I will guide you through the few seated (if you choose to move) postures and breathing exercises.
We will be meeting at my parent’s home in Marino (which feels special too). I will email you their exact address after your booking comes through.
After our time in practice we can enjoy a yummy whole plant-based curry. I asked Elaine from @yokekitchen if she would like to share her recipe with us. Elaine cooked for us at the last silent Zazen meditation retreat I took part in December. Her food is delicious! I hope I can do it at least some justice!
If you can’t stay on the extra half an hour - you’re welcome to take a bowl away!
I so look forward to these evenings together.
Come to one, come to both, up to you!
See you soon :)
